MARKER-STANDARDISED INGREDIENT RANGE
Specialty Standardized Ingredients
This range covers marker-standardised botanical and nutritional ingredients supplied for beverage, supplement and fortification projects. Each grade states its marker, the analytical method and the basis on which the result is reported.
Scope of this range
| Parameter | Scope of the range |
|---|---|
| Material class | Marker-standardised botanical extracts and animal-derived nutritional ingredients |
| Marker basis | Each grade declares one marker and the analytical method used |
| Methods | UV with the European Pharmacopoeia method, HPLC, or HPLC/spectrophotometric for heme iron |
| Applications | Beverage colour systems, immune-oriented and iron-fortification blends |
| Documentation | Batch COA, specification sheet, agreed third-party testing, export documents |

How to choose within this range
| Your requirement | Specification to fix | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Colour-driven beverage work | Fix the marker level and the method | UV anthocyanin values are method-dependent and not comparable across methods |
| Marker-specific blend | Choose an HPLC-declared grade | Chromatographic markers and UV totals report on different bases |
| Iron fortification | Declare the iron form and level | Heme iron behaves and labels differently from non-heme iron salts |
| Comparing suppliers | Match marker, method and plant part | Percentage figures alone do not establish equivalence |

Qualification and COA review
Each page states the marker, the method and a representative batch. Because UV and HPLC results are not directly comparable, qualification must be completed against the same method as the approved specification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does the analytical method matter so much?
Because UV and HPLC results for the same material can differ substantially. Grades are only comparable when the marker and the method match.
Can I substitute a polyphenol grade for a marker-specific grade?
No. A total-polyphenol UV specification and a specific HPLC-declared marker are different purchasing specifications.
What is heme iron and how is it declared?
Heme iron is the animal-derived iron form, declared as a percentage measured by HPLC or spectrophotometric methods. It is not equivalent to non-heme iron salts.
How is batch approval handled?
Approval requires the approved order specification and the current offered-lot COA, including identity, marker result, method and relevant dates.
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
We are Shaanxi Longsheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a direct manufacturer integrating R&D, production and export support. Factory review may be arranged by video or an on-site visit.
Can I request the current batch COA before ordering?
Yes. Request the applicable current or representative COA for each shortlisted grade and compare identity, method, limits and results.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The regular MOQ is typically 1 kg. Evaluation samples of 10-20 g may be arranged subject to stock.
Can specifications or packaging be customised?
Selected assay targets, particle size, carrier and packing may be reviewed case by case before quotation.
